Baz Luhrmann's adaption of The Great Gatsby (2013) is originally based on famous novel by the famous F.Scott Fitzgerald, written in 1925. Starring the talented Leonardio DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby (who I must add although he has been credited with various awards, has not yet been honoured with an Oscar for his previous amazing work), Tobey Maguire (also known as ex-Spiderman Peter Parker, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Elizabeth Debicki, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke and globally known classic Bollywood sensation, Amitabh Bachan.
- For many viewers and lovers of the novel, the events within the retrospective narrative displayed may have been the most important part of the film. Although some critics have claimed that the film is 'wrong' or disappointing the public must be reminded that it is Luhrmann's interpretation and his work should not be slammed but simply challenged. The film is given an overall 7.5/10 rating with only a few weeks release!
- The film was exquisite, from the 1920s inspired fashion design for the clothes used in film, depicting the styles and time of Wall Street boom, stocks and New York.
London's Harrods collaborative marketing strategy of implementing the 1920s fashion within their front windows to celebrate release of the film and a fashion journey appeared effective and memorable.

- No Church In The Wild (Ft. Frank Ocean & The Dream) - Jay Z & Kanye West
- 100$ Bill - JAY Z
- Back To Black - Beyoncé x André 3000 -This cover is brilliantly clever. As usual, Beyonce's vocal talent and Andre 3000 do not dissappoint a beautiful song by the late Amy Winehouse.
- Bang Bang - will.i.am
- A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got) - Fergie + Q Tip + GoonRock
- Young And Beautiful - Lana Del Rey - just like Lana, the song is addictive. Emerging sadness upon its listeners whether its regarding personal experiences or how the lyrics depict Gatsby's deep love for Daisy but also they match the deterioration of Gatsby and Daisy's relationship and his life journey. The emotional response adds to the entertaining experience conjured by the film.

- Over The Love - Florence + The Machine - brilliant, Florence and her goddess like voice is definitely evident
- Where The Wind Blows - Coco O. of Quadron
- Crazy in Love - Emeli Sandé and The Bryan Ferry Orchestra
